NorKatz

Norwegian Forest Cat

  Kittens

Since the arrival of my first Wegie Kittens,

littermates, Vajsco and Orion, I have been

fascinated and devoted to this incredible

breed.

My goal as a breeder is to preserve the

stunning physical appearance of this

natural breed. And to contribute to

their loving, sweet-tempered personality,

as desired in showing, pet/companion

homes and also pet therapy. I am extremely

fortunate to have prime examples of the

forest cat as my foundry cats.

NorKatz is a small cattery and the kittens

are raised in my home, underfoot, with

lots of love, and attention. These are my

babies, whom I have spent numerous

hours with and I am very careful when

selecting prospective new homes.

Kittens are usually available

around 16 weeks to 4 months

of age, sometimes longer.

During this time the mother

cat has helped them develop

physical and social stability

needed for a new environment.

I as their human mom, use

this time as an opportunity

to fully spoil them.

Approved kitten homes must be willing to sign a contract stating the cat/kitten:

  1. 1. is and indoor-only cat;

  2. 2. declawing the cat is forbidden;

  3. 3. the cat must be neutered/spayed (applies to pet/companion cats).

These are essential elements for cats/kittens in maintaining a healthy, long, and

joyful life.

If you are interested in a kitten please complete the Kitten Inquiry Form which

will be submitted to me via email. I am careful to make sure each of my kittens are

in a home where they will be part of the family, as they are in my home.

Our cats are:

  • Registered with the Cat Fanciers Association (CFA).

  • Vaccines are kept current;

  • Negative for FeLV/FIV;

Breeding cats are:

  • Blood-typed;

  • Tested for GSD-IV at the University of Pennsylvania;

  • Tested for HCM at Iowa State University-HCM scanning done by Dr. Wendy Ware.

Our cats/kittens are raised in our home and are well socialized with frequent handling. Kittens go to their new homes between 16 weeks to 4 months of age. Before leaving NorKatz all pet kittens have been vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and micro chipped, along with complete veterinary documentation of kitten vaccines.

At 8 weeks of age the kittens have been given their first vaccinations and supervised visits can be arranged by appointment. Deposits will be accepted after the kittens are born. We do require a signed contract when adopting our kittens and we offer a health guarantee on our kittens.

NorKatz always welcomes inquiries, but we reserve the right to refuse the sale and/or placement of any kitten or cat. Please understand that until a deposit is received by us all kittens and cats which are stated as available are available unless so noted on our website as "Reserved", "On Hold" or "Adopted".

We do occasionally have older kittens and/or adults available for adoption.
